Josh Silverstone, Pokerpreneur® and founder of Aces Raise, helps players up their game at the poker table, in business, and life. His clients range from individuals who want to learn the game, to companies that want to apply winning strategies to their business. Josh’s expertise comes from 10+ years of sales experience across diverse industries. He has worked in inside sales, outside sales, sales management, and sales consulting. As a management consultant, Josh had the opportunity to work with emerging companies sized from $2-25M to implement sales processes, hire salespeople, and train their sales and leadership teams.
From an early age Josh was drawn to games, consistently winning at chess including a 3rd place finish in the Washington Post Chess Tournament. Josh also enjoyed competition in sports, and in high school played varsity football, volleyball, and wrestled. In 2003, Josh was at the University of Maryland when poker boomed and so did his interest in the game. He started studying poker, and was winning almost every time he played which helped put him through college. Josh has won several poker tournaments, and recently played in the World Series of Poker.
Josh encourages others to make a living pursuing their passions and dreams. He loves teaching the game of poker to people because it’s a fun game and a great way to learn important life skills and lessons. Josh is on the committee for Cards 4 Kids, helping Devotion to Children coordinate and promote their annual poker tournament fundraiser. Away from the tables, he enjoys getting together with friends and family for BBQs, golf, and football.
